Daniel Malakai Cabrera is our Executive Producer and Creative Director for our premium story-driven brand films for hotels, destination marketing organizations, and travel-related brands. Cabrera is a director, producer, and founder of Substance Over Hype® which combines the world’s best in movement (parkour, dance, stunts, and martial arts) with custom music to tell stories, create media and perform live. Cabrera directed and produced Two Bellmen One, Two Bellmen Two, and Two Bellmen Three for JW Marriott Hotels, Business Unusual for Renaissance Hotels (Storied Hotels Founder David Beebe was EP), and most recently the EP on The Other End of the Earth for Ritz-Carlton Reserve Hotels. Daniel also served in front of the camera on Two Bellmen Three, playing the character Pablo. Pablo was first revealed working alongside Gage, with a brief cameo in the original Two Bellmen short film.
Claire is a destination specialist who has designed programs in and worked with lodges in over 30 countries around the world. She’s produced content for National Geographic Sponsored cities and properties, the National Parks Conservation Association, and boutique lodges across in the globe. A sucker for anything travel related, Claire has led expeditions in numerous countries around the world including Iceland’s Landmannalaugur landscape and has run endurance trail races in Patagonia.
K.C. Dermody is the author of Best Travel Guide for First Time Visitors to Ireland and hundreds of articles and guides published both online and in print. She has traveled around the world, and has a passion for imparting what she’s earned from her travel experiences to others, and to inspire more people to get out and truly explore, rather than spending their holidays in a lounge chair by the pool. When she’s not writing articles you can be sure she’s on some adventure, swimming with sea lions, paddling among icebergs, hiking a volcanic crater or perhaps spending the night in an ancient haunted castle.
Susan Brooks is a veteran television and business affairs executive, bringing strategic and innovative thinking, along with decades of established high-level industry relationships, to entertainment negotiations across all media platforms.
In 2014, Susan established, FOREFRONT-Partners. With her proven ability for quick deal closures and forward thinking, she facilitates her clients’ goals for the future, allowing for growth with a competitive edge in an ever-changing landscape of digital media. As such, she has attracted both Fortune 500 companies as well as new entrants into the field of entertainment. Her list of clients includes Marriott International’s Content Studio, Univision’s Story House, Reach Agency, Above Average, Select Management, Purina, Nestle, New Form Digital and Sony Music Entertainment, among others.
In 2009, during the rapidly accelerating digital entertainment revolution, Susan joined Fishbowl Worldwide Media as a Partner and Executive Vice President. In addition to developing business strategies and creating cutting-edge deal structures, Susan oversaw all licensing acquisitions and development functions of the television, film, and digital divisions of the company.
From 1993 to 2009, Susan served as the Worldwide Head of Television Business Affairs for the William Morris Agency. As a business partner and adviser to more than one hundred agents in offices in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Miami, London, and Shanghai, Susan made groundbreaking and innovative deals for television and digital platforms. Notable examples include negotiating an overall multi-platform deal on behalf of renowned writer and director J.J. Abrams, As a result of her dealings on behalf of film and television star Kiefer Sutherland for the Fox Entertainment’s hit TV show “24,” Mr. Sutherland became one of the highest compensated actors in television. Susan was known for her creative packaging of high-level talent and properties and was responsible for the deals that brought highly profitable shows such as The Office and Ugly Betty, among others, to the US market.
Susan has been recognized on four occasions in The Hollywood Reporter’s annual “Top 100 Women in Entertainment”. She has been a frequent panelist in entertainment industry conventions and trade conferences. In 2012, Susan traveled to Spain where she was invited by the Trade Commission of Spain to lecture on International Formats, Licensing, Exhibition, and Distribution.
Susan earned a B.A., magna cum laude, in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami. She then attended and graduated with honors from the University of Miami Law School. Susan launched her career in the entertainment industry immediately following law school, holding key positions with MGM/UA Television Productions and talent companies Writers and Artists Agency and International Creative Management (ICM). Susan later co-founded Wilshire Court Productions, an independent production company established and owned by Viacom, where she served as a key executive While there, Susan developed the business model for the development and production of network television movies and series, as well as an extensive slate of original motion pictures for television for the USA Cable Network.
Susan supports a variety of charities with her time and contributions. She is currently a member of WHY (Women Helping Youth), the Lung Cancer Foundation of America, AIDS Project LA, and a member of the Television Academy among others.
Nina Pikula is the Head of Brand Partnerships at Storied Hotels, where she works with our editorial team, creators, and Content Studio to develop premium story-driven content and experiential solutions for hotels, destination marketing organizations, tourism boards, and travel-related brands. Pikula is a results-oriented, creative professional with years of experience in media event production, partnerships, and video production. Starting her career producing for the Banff World Media Festival, Nina has had the privilege of collaborating with top executives, producers, creators, and brands, while producing high-level events around the world. In 2017 she co-founded Quixote Media with a focus on creating great content and building long-lasting business relationships between brands and creators. Still dabbling in the event space, Quixote Media became part owner of creator-focused Buffer Festival, where Nina currently serves as Director of Partnerships and Industry.
Stef Sanjati is the Managing Editor and Host of Uninvited Guests on Storied Hotels. Uninvited Guests is an original content series written by writers around the world and a podcast hosted by Sanjati that explores the mysteries surrounding paranormal phenomena at the worlds most Storied Hotels.
Sanjati is also the CEO and Founder of Sanjati Inc., a multi-platform media company dedicated to developing, producing, and distributing premium story-driven creative and content that inspires viewers to be their authentic selves.
Sanjati first started creating videos for YouTube over ten years ago. After creating a video about her genetic trait, Waardenburg Syndrome, which to date has received over 9 million views, Sanjati quickly built an engaged community online who were interested in her beauty knowledge, gaming videos, and everyday journey and challenges of growing up in a small town in Canada.
Sanjati’s viewers continued to support her after announcing that she was transgender and documenting her transition online. She collaborates with brands like Microsoft, Rimmel London, Samsung, and others to create content and campaigns.

Lucia Evans is a two-time Webby Award winning marketer who formerly served as the Senior Director, Digital + Social Media at Marriott International. For over 4 years, she led digital and social strategy for the largest hotel brands in the world, creating innovative, award-winning campaigns, spearheading content partnerships with the NFL and TED Talks, and leading social influencer strategy. She has extensive expertise training hotel properties to create ROI-driving digital and social presences and programs. Her work has been highlighted in outlets including AdWeek, Fast Company, Mashable and Digiday.
Krystle Dickerson grew up and still lives in Central Illinois. Her husband, three kids, and dog keep her busy but when she isn’t taking care of her family she is writing nonfiction web content and E-books as well as publishing fiction under the pen name Krystle Able. As a multi-genre author, Krystle loves to explore different styles of writing and is an avid reader of many genres as well.
